💼 Warren Demands Private Credit Stress Test After Big Bankruptcies
Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for regulatory stress tests on the private credit market following several high-profile bankruptcies. The Senator is “warning that implosions of Tricolor Holdings and First Brands Group are “likely the tip of the iceberg” in terms of bad debt held by Wall Street’s biggest banks.” Concerns center on whether lenders in this rapidly growing sector can withstand economic shocks without destabilizing broader financial systems. Advocates of increased oversight warn that hidden risks could trigger cascading failures. The proposal signals rising political scrutiny of opaque lending practices. — Bloomberg
🧓 The Social Security Administration plans to cut field office visits by 50%. What it means for you.
The Social Security Administration plans to drastically reduce in-person field office visits, shifting many services to online or phone-based systems. Officials argue the change will improve efficiency, but critics worry it will disadvantage seniors, low-income individuals, and people without reliable internet access. Experts warn the transition could create longer wait times and barriers to receiving timely benefits. — The Seattle Times
🏳️🌈 Joe Biden Lashes Trump For ‘Trying To Distort’ Fight For LGBTQ+ Equality

🏛️ Jeffries backs Trump’s pardon of Cuellar: ‘Exactly the right outcome’
The house minority leader agreed with President Trump’s decision to pardon former house representative Henry Cuellar. Cuellar and his wife, Imelda, were charged with accepting about $600,000 in bribes through her shell companies, allegedly from Azerbaijan’s government and a Mexican bank. They pleaded not guilty, while two of Cuellar’s political consultants pleaded guilty and cooperated with investigators. “Listen, the reality is [that] this indictment was very thin to begin with, in my view,” Jeffries told CNN. “The charges were eventually going to be dismissed — if not at the trial court level [then] by the Supreme Court, as they’ve repeatedly done in instances just like this.” — The Hill
🔍 ‘Not Going To Silence Me’: Mark Kelly Takes Down Trump, Hegseth Amid Pentagon Probe
Senator Mark Kelly responded to the launch of a probe into the Senator for speaking out to members of the military and reminding them to disobey unlawful orders. “I’ve been through a lot worse in service to my country. The president and Pete Hegseth are not going to silence me,” Kelly, a retired astronaut and U.S. Navy veteran, said at a press conference.” The controversy has sparked new concerns about the politicization of defense institutions. — HuffPost
Together, we can Resist and Stop Project 2025
When leaders escape accountability, it signals that power—not justice—rules, eroding trust, fueling corruption, and opening the door to authoritarianism. Billionaire-backed justices and elites aren’t serving the people—they’re scheming to suppress our voices, strip away our rights, and rule over us. But progress and power to the people is more than an idea; it’s a movement. By standing up, speaking out, and demanding dignity, opportunity, and justice for all, we can build an America that truly lives up to its promise.

Project 2025 is Harming Americans
Project 2025 is an extreme, authoritarian agenda that threatens American democracy, freedoms, and civil rights. Backed by conservative mega-donors like the Koch family and led by the Heritage Foundation and over 100 aligned groups, it lays out a 900+ page plan to centralize power under the presidency and permanently dismantle the federal government as we know it.
The plan would replace 50,000 nonpartisan civil servants with loyalists, grant the president near-total control over agencies like the DOJ, FBI, and Federal Reserve, and criminalize protest through militarized policing. It seeks to ban abortion and contraception, end LGBTQIA+ protections, dismantle public education, eliminate Medicaid and Medicare, and defund labor, environmental, and disability protections. Promoting Christian nationalism, it would erase the separation of church and state, suppress voting rights, and silence dissent—paving the way for a permanent far-right dictatorship.
Summary of Harms:
Dismantles democracy and installs authoritarian rule
Criminalizes dissent and minority communities
Ends reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights
Defunds public healthcare and education
Destroys labor, environmental, and disability protections
Increases tax burdens on working people
Erases civil rights and church/state separation
Suppresses voting and opposition voices
We must organize, resist, and protect our communities from this dangerous assault.

How do we fight Fascism?
Hope
Hope is a powerful weapon against fascism, serving as both a shield and a rallying cry in the face of fear and oppression. While fascism thrives on division, despair, and apathy, hope inspires unity, action, and resilience. Hope empowers us to envision a society built on equality, justice, and freedom, motivating us to take meaningful steps to protect these values.
Respect
Respect is a formidable weapon against fascism, countering its foundation of hatred and dehumanization with dignity and inclusivity. By leading with respect, we create a society where collaboration and compassion overpower fear and division, rendering fascism powerless in the face of unity.
Unity
Unity is one of the most powerful weapons against fascism, as it dismantles the divide-and-conquer tactics that authoritarian regimes rely on to maintain power.
🗽The strength of a nation is not its ability to fight wars, but rather by its ability to prevent them. - Gene Roddenberry
Together, we can protect and empower those we love, champion our rights, freedoms, and democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people’s will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
