Both can be true. In addition to all the bad news, there is some good news. Lots of judges are ruling against Trump's fascist moves and unconstitutional executive orders, occasionally even SCOTUS. Also, people are aware of the voter suppression measures and are fighting them. Any of us can help just a little just by writing to our members of Congress about issues such as the war, the economy, voting rights, and ICE's mistreatment of people. Another thing we can do is ask our family, friends, and neighbors to check their voter registration and get their documents in order in case the SAVE act isn't blocked.
